The Courier-Times was first published in Roxboro in 1881, as The Roxboro Journal. Person's County's only newspaper has, for more than a century, informed citizens about happenings about the happenings of the local area, state, and nation.
The Courier-Times became complete when Person County's two competing newspapers merged in the early 1940s. The merging of The Person County Times and The Roxboro Courier in the early 1940s, created the paper that is in existence today.
This newspaper creates a vital link, keeping Personians in touch and informed with each other. The Courier-Times, a biweekly publication, promotes progress for the entire county.
