Zebulon B. Vance Birthplace

This pioneer farmstead is tucked in the Reems Creek valley. The five-room log house, reconstructed around original chimneys, and the outbuildings are furnished to the 1795-1840 period. Vance's political career as Civil War officer, U.S. senator, and governor, as well as the history of his famous mountain family, is traced at the homestead.
