In
July 2003 the State Board of Education approved a revision to
the Media Coordinator Performance Appraisal Instrument. The
MCPAI-R was piloted by four school systems in 2002-2003 and
validated by staff from the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro. The process of creating the new instrument began
with the adoption of the revised media coordinator job description
on July 1, 1999 (State Board Policy QP-F-007). Standards and
Criteria were developed in 2001.
