Cathy Mathews, Consultant

Cathy's avatar.Welcome to theInstructional TechnologySouth Central Region. It is my pleasure to have recently joined DPI to work with the 17 counties that make up this diverse region. I began my career in education in 1991 in Stanly County Schools. I have served in a variety of technology positions that have allowed me to work with students, teachers and district level administrators to integrate technology and infuse 21st Century Skills into the core curriculum.

The guiding mission of the North Carolina State Board of Education is that every public school student will graduate from high school globally competitive for work and postsecondary education and prepared for life in the 21st century. I look forward to working collaboratively with the dedicated educators in the South Central Region to realize this goal for our students.
