About the Commission
Purpose
School Technology Commission, established pursuant to G.S. 115C 102.5, consists of members who serve 2 year terms. Appointments are made by the Governor, General Assembly, UNC, Community Colleges and the State Superintendent, and the Secretary of Commerce. The Secretary of Health and Human Services or a designee also serves. The Commission analyzes the current use of technology in the schools, identifies instructional goals that can be met through technology, and proposes state school technology.
