How to Set the Browser's Font & Size
**Note:
Internet Explorer will most often ignore it's own settings and pull font size settings and font styles from the computer's settings. Make sure you set both! As browsers grow and change, these instructions may not be complete.

Internet Explorer, Version 4.0-4.5

  1. Launch the browser.
  2. From the browser's menu, choose >Edit>PreferencesIn Preferences window, open "Web Browser" category and choose "Browser Display"Set text size to Medium (this will only work if the computers font size is set first to 12 points)Then, choose "Language/Fonts" under the same Web Browser category, and set the Proportional font to Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, or sans-serif
  3. Click OK.

Internet Explorer, Version 5.0 and later

  1. Launch the browser.
  2. From the browser's menu, choose >Edit>PreferencesIn Preferences window, open "Web Browser" category and choose "Language/Fonts"Set size to 12 points and the Proportional font to Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, or sans-serif
  3. Click OK

Netscape Navigator, Version 4-4.6.x

  1. Launch the browser.
  2. In Preferences Window, under "Appearance" category, choose "Fonts."Select Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, or sans-serif for the "Variable Width Font" and set the size to 12.Also choose "Use page-specified fonts…"
  3. Click OK

Netscape Navigator, Version 6.0

  1. Launch the browser.
  2. In Preferences Window, under "Appearance" category, choose "Fonts."Select Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, or sans-serif for the San Serif fontSet the Default font as "serif"Uncheck the box for "Always use my font settings…"
  3. Click OK.
