LSTD 2007 Recap
School systems across North Carolina participated in Legislative School Technology Day, Tuesday, February 13, 2007, from 10am until 2 pm at the North Carolina General Assembly Building. This event provided a showcase for our legislators of the exciting ways that technology is being used to support the teaching and learning of 21st century skills in the classrooms across the state.
The logistics of the year’s event were as follows:
- Sixty-one school districts sent teams of students and educators.
- Elementary, middle, and high schools participated.
- Four charter schools participated.
- DHHR school, Governor Moorehead School, also participated.
- Both computers and Internet connectivity were provided for each participating school.
- Many North Carolina legislators dropped by to visit with school teams from their district.
