Andrew Carnegie: "Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. It is the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results." |
NC DPI, Instructional Technology Division
You cannot find another group of individuals more dedicated or supportive than this. They are always there when you need them, regardless of how busy the day. They challenge you with fresh perspectives and they never fail to celebrate your accomplishments. Thanks for everything!
Judy Monroe
For many years now, Judy has made us all look good with her graphic design talent and winning Webmaster ways. Her art grows out of a genuine desire to give North Carolina students a visually intriguing learning experience and she instinctively understands Kaleidoscope's design potential for every new project. Thank you, Jude, for being our Web Goddess.
Mary Russell
Ms. Russell, the Middle School Mathematics and Science Consultant, NC Dept. of Public Instruction, authored the multi-step math word problems for the crime scenes and created its matching diagnostic answer key. Her contributions greatly enhanced the teaching and learning potential of this project at the classroom level. Thank you, Mary!
NCCAT
The wonderful educators at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching partnered with Donna Sawyer and the Instructional Technology Division to help create this CSI-inspired middle school math and science unit in Kaleidoscope. The July seminar, CSI in Your Classroom, made new learning available during a critical development phase of the unit: a survey of forensic science techniques, equipment that professionals use to process a crime scene, and a state-of-the-art laboratory to explore DNA forensic analysis. Hats off to NCCAT!
Vernier and Bodelin
Jake Hopkins, from Vernier.com, working with Bodelin, the manufacturers of the ProScope, generously supported this project by donating a USB microscope and other equipment to enhance forensic-style activities utilizing pH, Conductivity, and temperature. Thanks, Jake, for believing in us!
