Make it Happen
Schedule a time to work with your Media Specialist and Technology Facilitator to plan several collaborative lessons teaching your students how to search for information with search engines and Boolean search statements, subject directories, and your school's OPAC. These skills are vital to the success of any research project involving the Internet and requires a series of lessons, along with guided practice.

You and the Media Specialist can work together to make all of your school's information resources readily available. Media/Technology Specialists can assist you in identifying and using the most appropriate format for any future learning activity, and can guide your selection of materials to compliment the activity's curriculum objectives. Collaboration is the key here! Working together to help students learn how to find information is a K-12 challenge. Enjoy the support that each of you gives the other. Teamwork will always enhance a lesson!

To save time, here is a list of Stupendous Internet Search Tools with "sit-down-and-use-it-now" teaching and learning resources that you and your students will enjoy the entire year! Please don't forget to tell your Media and/or Technology Specialist about these teaching tools.

At NoodleTools, you can beef up on 21st Century Literacies. Can you list them?
