| Teacher Stuff This week and next week, schedule plenty of time for students to create and work with their own databases. They will need time to collect the data from their classmates and family, as well. Help them collect the data in the most efficient manner possible. For example, you could play "musical chairs" in a computer lab. Heres how: Students open their saved database files in list view with one empty record showing. When the music starts playing, each student moves to the chair beside them (clockwise) and types whatever personal data is required for the records showing on that particular computer. Stop the music when everyone has finished entering data. Instruct them to save the data and create a new blank record for the next student. When the music starts again, they move to the next chair and start entering data again. Continue until every student has at least 10 new records for their classmates. Ask students to print the records for you to review. Its great practice and loads of fun for everyone! (Monitor their entries VERY closely! Some students can be too creative, right?)
