1. Continue collecting data and/or making entries in the database you created last week. Click here to review some of the tips from last week. Your teacher will tell the class when it’s time to stop collecting data and making entries.

2. Sort your database in a way that would be most useful. Which fields are important? How do you want the information to print? Would you like to sort the records alphabetically with last name first or sort another way?

3. When you’re satisfied with the way your database is sorted and arranged, print one copy. Examine it closely and make any changes to the layout.

4. Fantastic! Now let’s crank out a cover for your directory. Use TIME for Kids Mag-o-Matics to print a colorful cover for your directory. You will need to SCROLL DOWN the page to find the section for Mag-o-Matics. Pick pictures, type headlines, and add captions that reflect the nature of your special database. Have fun!

5. Place the Mag-o-Matics cover on top of your printed directory and bind it in some way. Congratulations!
