Select a student to be your official techie troubleshooter and give him or her this checklist. Go chill.
Shut
down everything. Yes, everything!- Touch every cable connected to every device and make sure the connections are tight on both ends. Check to see that power cords are plugged in tightly to the power outlets.
- Turn on all devices attached to the computer.
- Turn on the computer next.
- See if the problem is fixed. If it is, do the happy dance. If it isn’t, call for help.
