Library Media Coordinator
| "Both higher order uses of technology and expenditures for library materials support student achievement." (Lance, et al. 2000, 28) |

As a school, the ultimate goal would be to have a full-time library media coordinator and a full-time technology facilitator, but that is not always possible. So how can a school effectively operate with only one library media coordinator as part of its instructional program? One of the most important ways is through collaboration.
Below you will see that there are three levels of collaboration. Compare where you think you are now in the collaboration process. Note: You could find that you have experienced each of the different levels at some time. It is common to move from one level to another during the school year, but for now, let's focus on where you think you are most of the time.

| "Research shows the highest achieving students come from schools with good school libraries." (Lance 1993) |
