How to Clear the Browser's Cache

Internet Explorer:

Launch the browser.

Choose Edit and then Preferences.

Find Advanced on the left side of the split screen and click it.

On the right side of the split screen, click Empty Now.

Click OK at the bottom of the window.
If you are prompted for Auto Form Fill at any time, select No.

Netscape Navigator:

Launch the browser.

On your Netscape tool bar, click on "Edit," then "Preferences."

Click on the "History" button.

In the left window pane you will see an "Advanced" section. Expand the "Advanced" section.

Select the "Cache" option, and click on "Clear Disk" button.
Close your browser down completely and restart a new session of Netscape.

What is Cache?
Think of cache as a temporary holding space where your computer stores information each time you visit a site. When you visit a site, your computer will FIRST go to its cache to recall a page before trying to access the site from the Internet. The result is that you may be viewing an older version of a site from your cache instead of one that has been updated.

Clearing the cache will ensure that you get the latest version of the site. However, you may not want to clear the cache too often, or pages will reload when it's not necessary. Having the pages in your cache actually speeds up the process of shifting between pages.
