Week 36: Creating and Sharing Your Information Product

So, are you about to put the finishing touches on your information product? Congratulations! Now is a good time to stop and reflect upon your experiences over the last few weeks. Link to The Multimedia Project, courtesy of San Mateo County, and spend a few minutes discussing your answers with a partner.

Imagine . . .

  • What if you marketed your product idea and made big bucks this summer? Get some great ideas by visiting YoungInvestors.com! Click on Frontyard Fortunes, then read some of the success stories. (Meet Karan, who made enough money with "Pet Photography" to buy her own TV!)
  • Could you be an Entrepreneur? Diane Shoemake, from the Collegiate School in Richmond, Virginia, has some questions for you.
    • Do you like to come up with new ideas or inventions? Do you like a challenge? Do you think about how to make things better? Are you willing to look at a failure and try to make it a successful adventure? Do you have ideas about using a variety of resources in different ways?
    • Do you like to use many different approaches in the hopes of developing new solutions to problems?

If you can answer yes to these questions, Ms. Shoemake suggests that you read, The Kid Who Invented the Popsicle and Other Surprising Stories About Inventions, by Don L. Wulffson, Cobblehill Books, 1997.

  • Are you an inventor? Are you dreaming of a new and unusual invention? Visit Invent.org and roll your cursor over the blocks to view incredible special effects and find out which inventor has kept a mouse alive for 73 years.
