Scenario #1

The evil Count Software Stealer has struck again. He went to the castle of his equally evil twin sister Lady Software Shoplifter and sat down at her computer. He was taken back by the newest of programs on her hard drive. He especially liked the action-packed game called Dragon Slayer. He knew he could finally defeat a dragon even if it was only a computer game. So he began to copy the software to a CD to take home and load on his computer. Just as he was burning the CD, out of nowhere came SuperSoftware Man. He told the evil Count to stop his actions immediately. SuperSoftware Man knew Count Software Stealer didn’t have license for the software he was pirating. Count Stealer did not see the harm he was doing to the person who created Dragon Slayer and refused to stop. SuperSoftware Man was forced to put Count Software Stealer’s mouse in a trap to stop his evil actions. When he had successfully cancelled the activity and explained why it was wrong, SuperSoftware Man left as quickly as he had arrived. The infrared port on the computer’s printer beamed him back to his home where he could be ready to take on a new case.

Scenario #2

At the beach last week the girls were talking about what they were doing this summer. Mary said she had a great new computer game that created a virtual diary. She was all giggly when she told the crowd what it could do. Mary told them you could choose the page background, font, style, and add clip art. All of the girls just oooed and awed over the idea of creating their own diary! So a plan was devised to get the software from Mary and pass it around until all of the girls had it on their computer. The strangest thing began to happen as each of the girls tried to load the software. As the installer began to work, the screen began to flash bright colors, and an image appeared on the monitor. It was SuperSoftware Man! He would say, "Don’t copy that program. It is wrong!!" The girls were quite confused by what he was saying. They did not see any harm in using the software from Mary. SuperSoftware Man explained why copying software that doesn’t belong to you in wrong. SuperSoftware Man had once again stopped an illegal activity and saved the girls from being unethical.
