Linear - a straight line or path; a multimedia presentation that moves from image to image in a straight line Non-linear - not moving in a straight path; a multimedia presentation that moves from one image to another in a preset order, not necessarily in a straight path - Example: a non-linear presentation can jump from image 1 to image 3 and back to image 1 Buttons - a spot added to an image enabling the use of multimedia options like sound, movies, animation or allows the presentation to move from one image to another (Click this button to play a sound.) Links - connections from one image, page, or word to another by clicking on a word or phrase that is usually highlighted - The user moves to a new location by clicking on the highlighted phrase or word.
