The book is dead! Long live the Web!Hey, not so fast!
We may see more people with their nose in a laptop these days, but there are plenty of us who still enjoy having our nose in a good handheld, too. Handheld book, that is.
And there is no more exciting area of publishing these days than young adult literature. YA lit is fresh and bold and totally relevant to what’s happening today.
So we’ve begun this site to ask teens what they’re reading – with a twist. We want to know what teens are reading that they believe their teachers should read. Because, let’s face it – the last YA lit that many teachers read was The Outsiders, circa 1967.
If you’re a teen and you’re a reader, we encourage you to post to our forum the title of your latest fave that you believe your teachers should read. Be sure to include a brief explanation of why you think this is something that teachers should read. Be persuasive.
Who knows – you may even find something out there that your teachers may like better than Shakespeare ;-)
